36 hours to the LSG Conference

On Wednesday the Learning and Skills Group Conference kicks off.

As I noted in the blog post at the beginning of the month, this is due to be an exciting and very different sort of event to the Learning Technologies Conference in January. The key difference is the level of interactivity built in to the programme.

And it’s clear that this is what you want.

Talking to delegates in the run-up to Wednesday, there’s plenty of interest in the fact that whether a session is lead by a main speaker or is a group-driven special interest group, most of the time in each session has been set aside for interaction.

In particular I’m keeping a close eye on the special interest groups, run by and for delegates. I’m hoping that these will be the nucleus of groups that the Learning and Skills Group can support and help grow after the conference.

There is plenty of experience and knowledge sitting in individual Learning and Development silos. Now it’s time to let it out. Let’s share the best of what we know and do, and help each other tackle the worst.
