There’s been plenty of reaction to the conference on the net. Here’s some of it:
Jay Cross put up these:
Jon Ingham writes about the opportunities afforded by learning technology
Clive Shepherd reflects on forming social networks
Lynn Wernham has a series of excellent posts summarising her experiences reporting on the conference for the post conference report.
Fellow rapporteur Karyn Romeis gives her thoughts and voiced her frustration that theory seemed so far from practice in our deployment of learning development.
Personnel Today’s John Charlton has a podcast mostly interviewing a series of exhibition visitors, but towards the end talking to conference delegates Debbie Harrison, Williams Lea’s European Head of Learning and Development, and Jan Pereira of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
It’s been a great period for reflection.
Now it’s time to look forward.
I’ve been in e-mail contact with everyone about the content for the April event. Thanks for all the responses, but don’t expect it’s over! You can expect more e-mails as we build up to a great day of networking.

Whilst I’ve already fallen victim to the post-conference blues, I’m still thinking (see how passive I’ve become already) about ideas generated from the conference and how to use more of the fab tools out there to do more and share more. April can’t come quick enough! I’m enjoying catching up on the personal experiences and will use this weekend to do some proper personal reflection.

Hi Katherine,
The post-conference come-down is a familiar medical phenomenon. I find the best cure is reflection followed by action.
A further part of the cure is to remove the patient from isolation. Part of the aim of April’s event is to help people plan what they’ll be doing in the rest of the year, and then to keep in touch with each other and act as a support network in the rest of 2008. That should mean that at the 10th Learning Technologies Conference in 2009, we all have some success stories to share.
See you there!
